A crack has appeared on the screen of my 16-inch MacBook Pro
I have a 16-inch MacBook Pro, and a crack recently appeared on the screen. I took the device to the Apple Authorized Store at HKRI Taikoo Hui (Shanghai) for inspection, where I was informed that the damage was classified as “user-caused.” However, I would like to clarify that the crack appeared suddenly, and I am certain that the device was not dropped, pressed, or subjected to any external force.
Given that there was no known impact or pressure, I would like to ask whether further diagnostic analysis is possible—for example, a more detailed inspection to determine whether the crack could be related to internal stress, manufacturing defects, or material fatigue. I would greatly appreciate it if this case could be escalated for a second evaluation or reviewed by a senior technician or engineering team.
