Use the original SSD.
I confirm the following worked great for me on my 2015 MacBook Pro 15".
1. Installed original SSD.
2. Installed fresh copy of Monterey via the USB stick onto the original SSD (it rebooted a bunch of times, indicating a firmware update).
3. Put the new SSD back in.
4. Booted off USB stick and upgraded to Monterey without a hitch.
It ***** if you don't have your original SSD but maybe you can get a cheap one off of the interwebs. Doesn't have to be big. Likely doesn't even have to be the same one that came with your unit. Most likely just *any* genuine Apple SSD.

检查是否有足够的可用空间。Big Sur 时要求至少 26~44GB 以上,Monterey 也可以参考这个数。
如果原来的 SSD 还在,还回去,升级安装完后,再换回来在从 BigSur升级就没问题了。
如果原来的 SSD 还在,或者能找到 Apple 的 SSD,换回去,升级安装完后,再换回来从 BigSur升级就没问题了。
应该用原装ssd 按流程升级一次 monterey mbp自己就更新了 目前没有看到单独的固件升级渠道
关闭SIP后再试下呢
检查是不是下载的安装 app 不全
MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6 自己换过固态,目前使用intel固态,估计是这个原因导致新系统报错不兼容
我看外网论坛,他们的解决思路是,想办法升级mac的firmware。并没有对硬盘做限制。而且有人也成功突破了。看看这个。再根据你的情况,找找适合你的解决方案
可用空间足够,应该不是空间不足的原因
估计是用的不是原装的固态,我的是换过的固态。估计不兼容
我也是自己换过固态,一样的报错,希望以后苹果能放开权限。
不过的问题是,无法通过安装程序的硬件检测而无法更新固件 UEFI,更新之后就不再需要更新也就无需检测硬件,也就可以安装了。
