Apple Watch Digital Crown
Dear Apple Feedback Team,
I would like to report a long-standing issue with Digital Crown haptic feedback on my Apple Watch and would appreciate your help in determining whether this is related to watchOS or to the device itself.
When using the Digital Crown to scroll in Notification Center and Control Center, the haptic feedback disappears during scrolling.
The Digital Crown itself works normally and the interface scrolls as expected, but there is no usual Crown Haptic Feedback during the scrolling process. However, haptic feedback is still present when reaching the top or bottom of the content.
In contrast, Digital Crown haptic feedback works normally on the watch face, in Settings, and when scrolling through long lists in regular apps. Therefore, this does not appear to be a general failure of the Digital Crown or the Apple Watch haptic system, but rather an issue specifically affecting scrolling in Notification Center and Control Center.
This issue has existed on my Apple Watch since I purchased it and has continued across multiple watchOS versions. At the same time, people around me who use Apple Watch do not appear to experience the same behavior, which makes me wonder whether the issue could be related to my specific device.
I would therefore appreciate Apple's guidance on the following:
- Is this a known watchOS issue?
- Could this potentially be related to a hardware, firmware, or device-specific configuration issue?
- If this behavior is not normally seen on other Apple Watch devices, would Apple recommend replacing the device or having it inspected/service-tested?
Since the issue has persisted for a long time and across multiple versions of watchOS, I would especially like to understand whether this is expected system behavior or whether my particular device may be defective.
Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I would appreciate any guidance regarding device inspection, servicing, or replacement.
